                    Svaroopa®-style Yoga

                    Svaroopa®-style Yoga is a unique style of hatha (posture-based) yoga that helps unravel tension in the deepest layers of the body. Svaroopa®-style yoga works for every body. It creates healing and personal transformation, while opening you to an illuminative inner experience of your own essence, which is the goal of all yoga. Core tensions begin in the muscles around the base of the spine and negatively affect the whole body.


                    Svaroopa®-style Yoga releases these core tensions, beginning with the tailbone and sacrum, and then carrying the changes through the rest of the spine, the rib cage, neck and shoulders. As the spinal tension releases, the beneficial effects radiate throughout your entire body. Your body feels more alive. A typical session uses props such as chairs, blocks and blankets. Maureen will customize the poses, or asanas, to fit your needs and your body, and to help you find a sense of ease, relief, and peace.
